The brake system specialist will be an immediate beneficiary of the new main production plant on which the Hella Pagid headquarters are located as the extended plant will produce some of its portfolio's brake pads. This will allow Hella Pagid to further consolidate its role as leading provider of brake components for the aftermarket.
Currently, TMD Friction in Essen produces 23 million brake pads annually; following the extension of the plant, up to 65 million brake pads per year are anticipated for production in Essen alone. "We are proud of the investments by our parent company in Germany and look forward to provide our customers with products of a major original equipment manufacturer," says Thomas Gorkow, Product Management & Marketing Director at Hella Pagid.
